C. H. Spurgeon - Autobiography Volume 1 & 2

At the age of 17 Spurgeon became pastor of a handful of believers at Waterbeach, in Cambridgshire, England. In these two volumes Spurgeon pours out his story with an enthralling fullness and color, yet all this is so done that we are everywhere drawn to the center and passion of his life. Whatever Spurgeon did he did it for Christ, and it is this controlling aim in his Autobiography which, in a natural way, leads our eyes from his service to the Savior.

Winning the Invisible war by E. M. Bounds

A guidebook for spiritual warfare. There is a spiritual battle raging even now! Satan is continually slinging his arrows of doubt, despair, destruction, and disillusionment at all believers in his diligent attempt to slowly wear down their defenses. E. M. Bounds has insightfully taken the Biblical principles of spiritual warfare and organized them into a battle plan that will be nothing less than victorious.

C. H. Spurgeon

As long as there is breath in our bodies, let us serve Christ; as long as we can think, as long as we can speak, as long as we can work, let us serve him, let us even serve him with our last gasp; and, if it be possible, let us try to set some work going that will glorify him when we are dead and gone. Let us scatter some seed that may spring up when we are sleeping beneath the hillock in the cemetery.

The School of Obedience

The Father in heaven asks, and requires, and actually expects, that every child of His yield Him wholehearted and entire obedience, day by day, and all the day.

Let us all pray that God may, by the light of His Spirit, so show His loving and almighty will concerning us, that it may be impossible for us to be disobedient to the heavenly vision.

EVERY TRUE CHRISTIAN IS A SOLDIER - of Christ- a hero "par excellence"!

Braver than the bravest - scorning the soft seductions of peace and her oft repeated warnings against hardship, disease, danger and death, whom he counts among his bosom friends.

--C.T.Studd (1860-1931)
